Multi-sport activity gives children the confidence to enjoy all sports

Our company

Active Kids is the brain-child of Greg Dryer. Greg has worked in physical education for almost 20 years and is a senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University. Active Kids embodies his vision of how children should experience sport. This is shared by all the key personnel in each centre and passed on to all staff at our ongoing training courses.

The close link with the world of education gives Active Kids a distinct, child-centred ethos and shapes our core values. These permeate the way we work with both parents and children. We strive to give each and every child a flying start and offer parents peace of mind every step of the way.

Where do we come from?

Active Kids started in 2004 with weekly classes and small holiday courses. Following a couple of years of growth in North London, Active 4:Life Limited was formed at the end of 2006 with the aim of establishing a network of Active Kids franchises.

The first franchise centre then opened in Southgate closely followed by Woodford.

Where we're going

Active Kids is now going global! Well, maybe not global, but we are expanding. Not only geographically, but also in what we offer. In 2008 we ran our first family ski holiday and we have added family adventure to this by working with market leaders, PGL.

We now offer both after school and extended school programmes, School Plus and our parties really keep us busy. In 2009, due to popular demand we started Active Kick and we are looking to offer more sport specific courses for older children in the near future.

Finally, with so many children returning to Active Kids holiday courses, we ahve been asked to run holiday courses for our 'graduates' so we are looking to set up a bespoke offer to meet the needs of 11-13 year olds who want to stay active in the school holidays.

Our vision is to have an Active Kids venue in every major town across the UK, providing active, health-promoting, confidence-boosting fun, that sets children off to a flying start.

Our values We believe that children are happier and healthier when they are active. It's as simple as that. We also believe that they should be introduced to sport in a fun and stimulating environment through a multi activity approach rather than single sports such as tennis or football.
