'The sessions were positive, upbeat, fun, instructive and everyone left each session feeling confident and happy' Reflections from Rachel, an Active Kick mum

Active Kick and AKFC

Active Kick is better football. You can't help but notice the difference at Active Kick. In keeping with the Active Kids way, Active Kick is child-centered and inclusive.

We don't use adult drills and practices because it's not adults football. The children experience football through carefully planned games that are high on fun and involvement.

To give you a feel for where Active Kick is coming from, you may be interested to read Greg's article published in The Express in early August 2010.

Active Kick is for boys and girls in school years 3 to 6. Active Kick in Muswell Hill runs alongside Super Saturdays.

AKFC

For children who wish to take their football experience beyond the purely participatory and take part in carefully managed practices and league matches, we have established AKFC. Organised matches against other teams take place in Regents Park. We affiliate to the Camden and Regents Park Youth League. Games are every other Saturday with training at Active Kick on the Saturdays where there are no matches. Children take part in matches when they are ready to meet the demands of organised football. If children play matches before they are ready to do so, there is a risk that their initial experiences will not be positive.

Season 2010/11

Following the success of our first season, we will be running an Under 10 (school years 4 and 5) and Under 11 (school year 6) team next season.

Subs for the year are £175. This includes all match and referee fees, playing kit and tracksuit, and all coaching sessions from September through to April. There will be approximately 30 Saturdays during the season so this works out to be under £4 per session + £60 worth of kit.
Please note the subs this season are the same for children attending practices only as well as those playing in matches. We aim to create a club atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, makes progress and enjoys the game.

We ask all parents and players to abide by our code of conduct. This needs to be read in full by both player and parent, and checked on the online enrollment system.
